What an incredible evening we all had the 2015 EOJP Youth Football Equipment Handout & Family Pizza Night.
I needed a couple of hours to process ALL that I witnessed and felt. I woke up this morning feeling like I had went to a party last night lol….Drunk from all the support and willingness to HELP!! This is a dream come true for me as a parent. I KNOW MY SONS ARE IN GREAT HANDS from the Board, Coaches, and the parents of their fellow teammates. The number of attendees spoke volumes. All the laughter, and clapping filled the room with an infectious joy. It is apparent that the family unit has been established.
I want to also highlight Ms. Lisa Harrell. Ms. Harrell was the catalyst for the Football/Cheer Gear Drive. All the credit goes to her! Honestly, I was astonished by the outpouring of support and donations. My husband, Wayne Henry was able to share with me last night a testimony, which was confirmation we did good. He said that a player from the 8U Team walked up to him randomly and said, “Coach, look at my cleats, pants, and all the cool things I got tonight”. The young man said it with bright eyes filled with excitement. What a moment of self reflection, which brought tears of joy to my eyes. This is our true purpose and reason for existence. Life isn’t perfect, but it is our duty to help one another.
This is when we realize that being a Jr. Predator isn’t just about Football, it’s a LIFESTYLE. You all deserve a round of applause!!!
